When first published, this article (BMJ, 2023,382:e073923; doi:10.1136/bmj-2022-073923, published 18 August 2023) contained errors introduced during in-house editing that led to a mismatch between citations in the text and their corresponding references in the bibliography. This has subsequently been corrected.
Furthermore, due to errors in the editorial process, figures in the previously published article contained inaccuracies, which have now been corrected.
