Trump’s CDC nominee abruptly withdrawn before committee hearing

David Weldon—President Donald Trump’s nominee to head the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)—was withdrawn from the process about an hour before he was set to appear at a hearing to confirm him into post.1
