On 8 Julya Russian missile strike heavily damaged Ukraine’s main children’s hospital. The damage to the city, and the country, was severe, reports Nataliia Bushkovska

On 8 July, Russia launched a missile strike on Ukraine’s capital city, Kyiv, with Ohmatdyt, the largest paediatric hospital in the country, caught in the attack.

Before the attack a statement posted on the hospital’s website read, “We’re on duty in the wards where the children are on life support devices—they can’t be transported to the bomb shelter.
