NHS staff members who refuse to have the flu vaccine this winter will have to give reasons to their employer, as leaders toughen their approach to improve take-up rates.
Amid concerns of a surge in numbers of flu cases this winter, national NHS leaders are to write to all staff working in the service urging them to be vaccinated against flu as soon as possible.
