Gaza: Israel cutting off electricity is “war crime,” aid agencies warn

Israeli authorities are using basic humanitarian needs as a “bargaining chip” in ongoing ceasefire negotiations, the charity Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has said. These moves include blocking aid from entering Gaza and cutting off the supply of electricity and, in turn, clean water.1
MSF added that Israel’s allies, which include the UK and US, have also “normalised” this collective punishment of civilians by “purposefully ignoring this grave violation of international humanitarian law.”
